Web Design

March 27th, 2007 – November 25th, 2007

This was my very first website, sort of. It was kind of like Neopets (I’m not familar enough, but I know the set up), but for me, I used Quizilla. This was back when they allowed profile HTML and such. It was fun. Well, I was just getting into the web design world. As you can see, back then, I couldn’t spell. However, this “site” didn’t last long as I moved to another host.

Fan Club and Writing Archive

November 27th, 2007 – February 20th, 2008

This was a small group that I started on Quizilla. We shared fan fiction that realated to the character Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. It was a lot of fun and a great way to get other Hiei lovers together and talk. It was actually really active. I was shocked. I think that, even over the years, this was my most popular “site” ever. I really enjoyed it. However, after a while, Quizilla did their little “upgrade”. Profile design disappeared, the site loaded so slowly, it was awful and I couldn’t handle it. I started to move it to a freewebs site, but it never got done. Life just got in the way.

Web and Graphic Design

November 26th, 2007 – December 3rd, 2008

This was my first freewebs site. I loved this site at the time. It was great and I had it totally up with HTML and CSS. I learned a lot here. I kept it pretty active. It had all sorts of pages and some really wild colours though. It was overly disorganized and rather messy. Coding was a mess and often the design colours never matched. It had 10 million affiliates and almost none of them were ever active. So I’ll be honest, I’ve gotten a lot better since then. It was a fun experiance though and I enjoyed it. However, when it closed, it closed. I was ready for a new name and a fresh start.

Rain FallRain Fall

Web and Graphic Design

November 21st, 2008 – November 23rd, 2008

This subdomain was offered to me. This was the domain I was originally going to move to after Crystallized-Layouts closed. I got the site up but then I realized this was a bad choice. Karmin, my host, we weren’t really friends or close. I like to be friends with my host or be able to trust and talk to them. Karmin was really nice, but we weren’t close. So I decided not to go with her hosting. She was nice, but she wasn’t who I wanted to be hosted with.

Web and Graphic Design

December 3rd, 2008 – January 3rd, 2011

After Crystallized-Layouts closed, I moved to my first subdomain. If you look, the subdomain is “Uryo“. Its the Japanese word for Rain Fall. I thought that rainfall.cbd-hosting.net was just too long. I wanted something a little shorter, which was why I went with uryo.cbd-hosting.net. It was shorter and I thought it was easy to remember. A lot of my affiliates seemed to agree also. I had this site for a while. However, I didn’t always keep it active. I was moving away from web and graphic design and visitor content. I kept saying “I’m gonna open it again. I’m gonna open it again.” but I never did. Finally, in January 2011, I said, “Jennifer, its time to face the truth. You may want to open it, but you won’t and you aren’t.” I will miss the site and maybe one day I’ll change my mind about this, but right now, it won’t be opening again.

December 24th, 2008 – December 26th, 2010

This was my second subdomain. I really liked this site. It held all of my writing and fan fiction and fiction. I had a few affiliates there too. However, the domain expired and I didn’t know. So I lost everything on the site. The owner, I don’t even know their name sadly. They were nice but not very responsive. They didn’t reply to help emails or password reset requests. I loved the domain though. Sadly, the only time that I ever spoke to the owner was when my account was set up. That’s it. Still though, I loved my site and though I wish I had known before I lost it, I’m not angry that it was lost. It was time to start over, even if I had to be forced to move on. I think I needed this push.

Web and Graphic Design

May 13th, 2010 – May 13th, 2012

This is where I’ve decided to move my web and graphic design and other visitor content. It opened and closed repeatedly. I finally decided that I didn’t like the domain. It wasn’t meant to be for my web and graphic designing like I had originally hoped. So after a year and a half, I gave the domain up and sold it. The website will be replaced though but on a new domain.
